Cycle Kettering
Bike Miami Valley (https://Bikemiamivalley.org) is an advocacy organization that promotes issues that matter to cyclists. You can join BMV through their website for $25, or by selecting one of the dual membership options when you join or renew you membership with Dayton Cycling Club. If you join through DCC, the BMV membership is only $10 in addition to the DCC dues. BMV is a 501(c)3 so the $10 is tax deductible and you can get a receipt from them. DCC is a 501(c) organization so our dues are not tax deductible.
BMV has local chapters in Piqua, Yellow Springs, Centerville, Springfield, and a new chapter in Kettering. Most of these chapters have monthly meetings that you can attend if you want to get involved in advocating for cycling issues. When you select a dual membership, the DCC membership wizard asks you if you live in one of these towns so your membership information can be forwarded to the local chapter, if you have one. The Kettering chapter is new, we just learned of it today, so if you live in Kettering and have already renewed (or joined since last fall) you may want to update your "additional member data" in you club profile.
