In my July column, I featured Uli Fiedler of Dayton and her cargo bike.
Also during July, Bike Friday released its new “Haul-A-Day” cargo bike. This new bike is lighter than most cargo bikes (“only” 35 pounds) and completely adjustable. The frame adjusts to accommodate riders from four feet to 6’4” tall! The 20 inch wheels on the “Haul-A-Day” give it a lower center of gravity for more stability and agility than conventional cargo bikes.
The ”Haul-A-Day” carried a full-sized shipping pallet to victory in a recent cargo bike race in Portland, Oregon!
The “Haul-A-Day” is depicted carrying toddlers in the below photo, courtesy of Bike Friday.
While we do not endorse any specific bicycles, the “Haul-A-Day” may be an example of better things to come in the world of cargo bikes.
