1) The Dayton Cycling Club recognizes the achievements of the members annually.  All members are eligible to qualify for an award plaque upon meeting one of two requirements:

  • A minimum of 500 miles in one of the following mileage categories; touring, commuting or bikeways

  • Volunteer at a DCC event.

Annually thereafter, members can receive bars to hang on those plaques.  To qualify for a bar a member must:

  •  Achieve a minimum of 500 miles in one of the following mileage categories; touring, commuting, bikeways or indoor bike on rollers or indoor trainers (Dec – Feb Only for indoors)

  • Volunteer for DCC event ( Ride lead, Serve on DCC Board, SAG, Cook, Etc.)

  • Receive one of the special awards

Mileage bars are awarded in all four categories and will state both the category and the miles obtained.  The mileage bars will be awarded in the following increments:

  • 500 miles (for miles 500 – 999)

  • 1000 miles (for miles 1000 – 1999)

  • 2000 miles (for miles 2000 – 2999)

  • Mileage over 3000 will reflect actual mileage reported for the year
